US5 Portable USB External SSD

Very cool

The KingSpec MemoStone 512GB Portable USB-C External SSD is a compact, well-constructed portable drive. It's slightly bigger than a USB-C flash drive but smaller than the usual portable drive. It comes with a small lanyard that you can put on your keychain or backpack. It is tricky to get the lanyard pulled through the hole. I used the SIM card removal tool, but any paperclip would do the job. It works well with my phone and laptop. I will be transferring all my pictures from my phone soon. The transfer rate was fast when I moved a few photos and videos. The USB-C connection isn't long enough to securely connect to my phone with my case, so I had to take my phone case off. It's not a huge issue since I wouldn't like the connector to be too long because it can bend and break. It would have been better if it had been a retractable connector if that was possible. But it does come with a plastic cover that protects the connector. It's slightly more expensive than other external SSDs out there. But overall, I like the compact, stylish design and performance.

I love this drive. It works seamlessly across Raspberry Pi, MacOS and Windows. Fast and efficient.

The Good:- Compact, lightweight, and highly portable.- Excellent for backing up Mac and iPhone files with reliable HD performance.The Bad:- Lacks a pass-through USB-C port, so you can��t charge your device while backing up. If your iPhone or MacBook Air runs out of battery mid-process, you��re stuck.- The lanyard hole design is flawed��impossible to attach the line, it can��t exit, making it essentially unusable.- No companion software provided by the manufacturer to manage or automate backups, which limits convenience.
